Computer Class
Fridays, 9:30-11:30am
Students must be enrolled in English class, ABE/ASE class, or Paraeducator Pathways to take Computer Class.
This class teaches basic computer skills students need to gain employment:

Operating a Windows computer

Setting up and using email

Searching and navigating the Internet

Creating documents, spreadsheets, and presentations with Microsoft Office and Google Applications

Building typing skills and basic computer literacy
In Computer Class, we use:
Typing Club: practice typing!
Northstar Digital Literacy:
earn certificates in 15 areas of computer skills!
For all students, we also offer a drop-in Computer Club!
Students can practice their homework on the computer at home (on Zoom) or at APDC, with a teacher present in the room and on the Zoom to answer their questions.
